Not Only Lead Acquisition: Insights from Conversations with Beno Users

It’s Anna, the founder of Beno. Recently, I had the chance to sit down with some of our users to understand what they find most interesting and useful about Beno. Initially, I expected to hear mostly about how Beno helps with finding new leads at a lower cost. However, what I discovered were diverse perspectives and unique insights that truly opened my eyes to how Beno is making a difference. 

The most obvious — finding new leads with lower costs

While I expected this to be the primary feedback, it was just one part of the story. Beno indeed helps users find new leads more effectively and at a lower cost per acquisition. By automating the process of monitoring and engaging in relevant discussions, Beno users can discover potential clients that they might have missed otherwise. 

Automating existing processes

Personally, I thought Beno’s main value would be in acquiring leads. While this remains a significant benefit we offer, I’ve come to realize that our true priority should be clients who already engage in manual lead generation processes. These clients understand the effectiveness of these methods and benefit immensely from automating this process with Beno. Many users described how their teams of 2-3 people would monitor platforms 24/7, jumping into relevant discussions and mentioning their product. This labor-intensive approach was responsible for acquiring a significant portion of their clients, like 75% of all their leads , this is B2C. But this also works for B2B.

One user shared, “This already helps us acquire three-fourths of our current clients. Now we can do it more efficiently and at scale.”

No more account management hassles

One of the first things our users highlighted was how much they appreciate not having to create and manage new accounts on various platforms themselves. Setting up and maintaining multiple accounts can be time-consuming and tedious.

As one user put it, “The social commenting and that you guys have the accounts already, that's huge. I would not want to make or manage new accounts on other platforms."

Easy and Fast Setup Process

Another pleasant surprise was the feedback on the ease and speed of setting up Beno. The setup process is straightforward, allowing users to get up and running quickly without the need for extensive training or complicated configurations. Beno works directly through our website, where users only need to fill out three inputs: product name, link, and a comprehensive description. That's it. All the rest is on us.

There are still challenges to mention

One challenge we face at Beno is that we do not allow including links in replies. Normal users typically wouldn’t do this, and it can lead to shadow banning, making it difficult to clearly track leads that come from such replies. While other platforms might allow links, their accounts and replies often end up in shadow ban, which doesn’t work for us or our clients. This makes it hard to directly measure the lead generation impact. That's why I find users who already have this process done manually more attractive for us. They already know the effectiveness of this approach.

Talking to our users and hearing their feedback has been an incredibly enlightening experience.
